One of the major problems with the insonorisation of buildings is, without doubt, the sound insulation from shock noises: footsteps, chairs, cupboard and closet doors, slamming of doors, etc. It is furthermore difficult to respect the norm of FIIC 65 by using floor covering material such as hard wood, linoleum, marble or ceramics.

Insonorisation GLH Inc. has developed, after several years of laboratory research and trial testing, a new acoustic flooring which now offers the ability to depass the FIIC 65 norm. Factory made and assembled, this new acoustic flooring includes:

    - wood-gyprock composite paneling

    - wood latts

    - special resilient pads which assure vibration insulation

    - absorbant mattress

Several sound insulation  principles are in action in this original composition. The depassing of the FIIC 65 norm is guaranteed once the installation is completed according to instructions. Insonorisation GLH Inc. can provide installation or can form your own team of installers.

This new acoustic flooring was selected and installed by the developers of the condominiums project Cité Bellevue (Québec), winners of Nobilis 1989, an award given for the best insonorisation (kitchen and washroom built on acoustic flooring).
